Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and the broadest disciplines in engineering. As a technical degree, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering applies principles of engineering, material science and physics to mechanical systems. It covers all aspects of mechanics – design, analysis,and upkeep of them. With a total intake capacity of 60 students, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Sandip University, Sijoul seeks to produce top quality engineers with astrong understanding of principles of mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics,and electricity.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Scope

Mechanical engineers, with their knowledge about wide aspects of engineering, are looked upon to provide efficient solutions to problems faced during the development of processes and products. These can range from very small designs to extremely large plants, machinery or automobiles. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sandip University, our engineers should-

  • Be able to solve problems using mechanical or thermal devices. They should also be able to aid in their design and re-design using analysis and computer-aided systems.
  • Identify and investigate system failures and diagnose faulty operations to recommend remedies.
  • Be capable of developing and testing relevant prototypes.

In addition to the traditional roles for mechanical engineers, new trends are emerging for inter-disciplinary roles for those with Mechanical Engineering degrees.

Eligibility 1) A pass in the 10+2 examination (Pre-University Board Examination) with physics, chemistry and Mathematics, that are recognized by any State Board / Central Board (with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks).
2) The student should have the fundamental knowledge in computers and programming. Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics are compulsory and optional subjects are Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology & Technical Vocational. Choose any one from optional subject and secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of Backward Class candidates)

Direct Admission to Second Year of Engineering

Candidate must have passed three year Diploma course (Post-SSC or Post-HSC) in Engineering from MSBTE, Mumbai or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
Duration 4 years

1st Year Fee : Rs 1,00,000 per annum

Hostel Fee Rs. 65000 per annum + 5000 security deposit.
