Industry Background/Details: Amol Industries is an Indian ISO 9001:2000 certified textile manufacturing company based in Mumbai.Its main business involves weaving, knitting, processing, home textiles, readymade garments and polyester yarns.It exports 26% of its products to over 90 countries in the US, Europe, South America, Asia and Africa.It was established in 1986. In 1989, the company set up its first polyester texturising plant. The company became public in 1993 and was listed on Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India with an IPO of Rs. 4.5 Cr.The Company Grabal Alok Impex Limited was amalgamated with Alok Industries on 1 April 2011.

Objective of Program:

  • For students pursuing professional education (Marketing/Finance/HRM etc.), industrial visits help them gain hands-on experience of how industry operations are executed.
  • Industry visits provide opportunity for active/interactive learning experiences in-class as well outside the classroom environment.
  • With industry visits, students are able to better identify their prospective areas of work in the overall organizational function.
  • Industry visits help enhance interpersonal skills and communication techniques.
  • Industry visits broaden the outlook of students with exposure to different workforces from different industries.

Outline of the Program

The visit started in the early morning 6am and ended on a positive learning and fun loving experience for the staff and students on 28th March 2018.The students were from different departments like BBA, BCOM, and MBA. The parents also supported this.

Outcome of the Program: Students became more aware of industry practices and leant regulations during industry visits.Industry visits bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical learning in a real-life environment. They got an overall learning experience.
