Electrical Engineering is one of the major driving forces of high technology that deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. It includes the application of the laws of physics in electricity, magnetism and light. It covers a full range of studies including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing, and telecommunications. The specialised people in this field called Electrical engineers do research, design, develop, test and oversee the development of electronic systems and also the manufacture of electrical and electronic devices and equipment.

Some such end products and processes/systems that need electrical engineers are electric motors, machinery controls, lighting and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft and radar systems, navigation systems, power generation, controlling and transmission devices that are used in electric utilities and also in computers.

Sandip University offers 4 years Electrical engineering degree courses with an intake of 60 aspirants in addition to this we also provide well equipped several ultra-modern laboratories, huge libraries that serve as a high-end research tool.

B.Tech Electrical Engineering Course Eligibility

10+2 years of study with 50% marks and compulsory subjects like Physics, Maths and Chemistry.

  • Such highly accomplished engineers are in high demand in abroad. Though they may need additional and higher specialisations, but a degree in electrical engineering remains the base.
Employment & Job types

To mention about job opportunities, jobs are available in government departments with incentive and perks. They are needed in power sector like atomic power plants, hydroelectric and thermal power plants.

Government organizations in space, defense, aircraft manufacturing, ship-building need accomplished electrical engineers.

Private sector jobs are plentiful, as excellent and capable engineers are in short supply.

Job types include Chief Engineers, Operations Managers, Workshop Manager, Electrical Product Design Engineers, Project Head, Development & Test Engineers.

Eligibility 1) A pass in the 10+2 examination (Pre-University Board Examination) with physics, chemistry and Mathematics, that are recognized by any State Board / Central Board (with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks).
2) The student should have the fundamental knowledge in computers and programming. Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics are compulsory and optional subjects are Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology & Technical Vocational. Choose any one from optional subject and secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of Backward Class candidates)

Direct Admission to Second Year of Engineering

Candidate must have passed three year Diploma course (Post-SSC or Post-HSC) in Engineering from MSBTE, Mumbai or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
Duration 4 years

1st Year Fee : Rs 45000 per annum

Hostel Fee Rs. 65000 per annum + 5000 security deposit.
