A Value Added Program on The Science & Art of Essential Oils in Beauty & style was organized by the School of Design at Sandip University, Nashik, on Saturday, 1st February 2025, with the support of our\u00a0 Respected OSD Prof. Vivek Nikam Sir, under the guidance and leadership of our\u00a0 Respected Dean Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, and our\u00a0 dedicated Design HoD Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am, and Beauty & Cosmetology HoD Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am.<\/p>\n

The VAP (Value Added Program) conducted by Mr. Yash Jagtap, Assistant Professor at the School of Design, provided students with valuable insights into essential oils, their sources, extraction methods, and applications in beauty and style. He began by explaining the origins of essential oils and the various techniques used for extraction, such as steam distillation and cold pressing. He emphasized their importance in beauty and wellness, highlighting how they benefit skin, hair, and overall health.<\/p>\n

A key part of the session involved students creating their own essential oil blends. Guided by him, they experimented with different fragrances to make personalized diffuser blends. This hands-on activity allowed students to explore the therapeutic properties of essential oils and understand how scent can impact mood and well-being.<\/p>\n

He also discussed how essential oils are incorporated into beauty products, from skincare to perfumes, and how they can be used to enhance personal care routines. The session provided students with practical knowledge on selecting and applying essential oils effectively.<\/p>\n

By the end of the program, students not only learned about the various uses of essential oils but also gained creative experience in blending and utilizing these oils in their own routines. The session offered a unique opportunity for students to engage with the world of oils and fragrances, fostering both education and creativity in a fun, interactive environment.<\/p>\n
