On the Occasion to mark the celebration of "SANDIP FOUNDATION DAY" held every year on 8th April, this year Sandip University Nashik and SUN Helping Hands CLUB organised "ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS CAMP" on Tuesday, 10th April 2018 between 11: 30 am to 2 pm. TheResource Person was Dr. Sanjay Rakhibe, Rishikesh Hospital, Nashik who is Coordinator of Zonal Transplant Coordination Center, Pune.He was accompanied by Mr.AmolDugje, Transplant Coordinator at Wockhardt Hospital, Nashik.The Source of inspiration being none other than Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Col.Dr.N.Ramachandran who is himself associated with this movement from last couple of years.The event was organized under the guidance of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor N. Ramchandran, Dean Academics Dr.Arunkumar Dwivedi& Registrar Dr. ChetanChaudhary. The event was coordinated by Director SW, Prof. ArifMansuri& Assistant Director SW, Mrs. Neetu Sharma from Directorate of Students Welfare, Sandip University, Nashik. The overall conduction was looked after by Mr. Amit Mishra, Mr.PrashantSakhare, Mr. AshishPandey
Objective of Program
Organ Donation is the gift of an organ to a person who needs a transplant to improve his condition and health status. It is a procedure in which a health organ (donor) is taken from an individual who is either living or deceased and is transplanted into a person whose respective orphan (recipient) is malfunctioning.

The speaker explained and highlighted the importance of Organ Donation and appealed all the students and staff to ignore all the myths prevailing in society.The students were highly motivated and participated in the pledge to donate organ or full body donation.
