We Provide A one-year full-time course divided into two semesters leading to the degree of Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B. Lib. I. Sc.) & A one-year full-time course divided into two semesters leading to the degree of Masterof Library and Information Science (M. Lib. I. Sc.)

Objectives of the Programme

To familiarize students with basic concepts of Library and Information.
To learn knowledge Organisation and processing.
To acquaint students with the activities and services of different information sources, systems and programmes.
To develop skills in using computer and communication technology;
To introduce modern management techniques to students to manageLibraries and Information Centres effectively.
To create awareness on the emerging tools in digitization to impart the students a thorough understanding of patterns of knowledge development and its organization
To provide the advanced practical training in ICT applications in information environment including library automation, digitization, networking and communication system
To provide an understanding of research methods and activities of research organizations
To identify and learn the major issues in the development of new technology in the libraries.
