Topic: Exploring Fabric Coloration and Design Techniques

The Fabric Coloration Workshop organized by School of Design, Sandip University under the mentorship of Respected OSD Sir Prof. Vivek Nikam and Dean Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am. This workshop was conducted by Mr. Awdhesh Kumar (National Awardee) for two days. The workshop started with the importance of knowing fabric. He also explained how the textile industry works with videos of dyeing and printing shown to the students. The Fabric Coloration Design Technique Workshop provided students with deep knowledge of fabric dyeing techniques, color theory, and sustainable practices. The students learned different techniques of tying the cloth like Laheriya, Shibori, etc. Overall, the workshop contributed to the participants’ skill development and awareness of eco-conscious fabric coloration practices. The students had a fun-learning time throughout the process with an excitement of end result of their product.
