The School of Design at Sandip University, Nashik, hosted a valuable Value-Added Program titled Heena Redefined: A Modern Twist on Traditions. on Saturday,1st March, 2025. The event was made possible with the support of our OSD Prof. Vivek Nikam Sir, under the visionary leadership our  Respected Dean Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, and our  dedicated Design HoD Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am, and Beauty & Cosmetology HoD Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am.

This Value-Added Program was conducted by Ms. Akruti Awinashe, Assistant Professor at the School of Design, where the students explored the timeless art of henna (mehndi) application, but with a modern twist. “Heena Redefined” celebrates the fusion of tradition and contemporary design, bridging cultures and generations.

This VAP guided the students in mastering new techniques, innovative designs, and creative ways to incorporate henna on hand, paper and cloth.
