Event Details:

The School of Design is conducting a 3 day workshop from 28th to 30th April 2025 on Miniature Model Making under Value Added Program. This course was for the students of B.Sc Interior Design and Decoration and B.Des Space and Interior Design. This event was made possible with the support and guidance of our Respected OSD Prof. Vivek Nikam sir, under the visionary leadership of our respected Dean Prof. (Dr.) Vibha Kapoor Ma’am and our dedicated Design HoD Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am, and Beauty Cosmetology HoD Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am.

The workshop is being conducted by Mr. Mahesh Ahire. He is a well renowned art director and has worked as an assistant production designer for the movie “Lapata Ladies”.

On the first day, students worked on finalizing their plans and began the initial stages of model making through basic cutting and preparation. The second day saw them actively engaged in sketching, cutting, assembling, and refining their models under the expert mentorship of Mr. Ahire. Innovative designs began to emerge, showcasing creativity, collaboration, and technical skill. On the final day, students focused on completing their models by adding finishing touches and enhancing details. Each group then presented their work, explaining the design concept, materials, and functionality. The models were evaluated based on creativity, execution, innovation, and presentation.

The workshop concluded on a successful note, leaving participants inspired and more confident in their design and model-making abilities.
