Three-day New Student Orientation Program 2025

The School of Design successfully conducted its three-day New Student Orientation Program 2025 from 30th July to 1st August, welcoming the new batch with insightful sessions, industry interactions, and creative workshops.
This initiative was made possible with the support of OSD Prof. Vivek Nikam Sir, the visionary leadership of Dean Prof. (Dr.) Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, and the active involvement of Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am (HoD – Design) and Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am (HoD – Beauty & Cosmetology).
Program Highlights:
- Day 1 began with a Saraswati Vandana and a motivating address by Dean Ma’am, followed by an introduction to the School of Design by Akruti Awinashe.
A guest session by Mr. Abhishek Pratap Singh (NIFT alumnus) and a campus tour helped students connect with the institute’s ethos. - Day 2 featured sessions on the University Examination Process and SWAYAM Courses, followed by an inspiring talk by Kaushik Sheel (NIFT alumnus).
The day ended with a creative Art & Scent Craft Workshop by Mrs. Pradnya Mohite and Mr. Yash Jagtap. - Day 3 focused on Training & Placement and the Mentor–Mentee Scheme, followed by guest talks from Suresh Khandare (IIHT), Ms. Savita Utekar (Graphic Designer), and Ms. Tanmayee Shinde (VICCO).
The program concluded with hands-on Sustainable Model Making and Bubble Creations Workshops, encouraging creativity and teamwork.
The orientation concluded on a high note, setting a strong foundation for our students’ academic and creative journey ahead.
