Event Detail:

The School of Design successfully conducted a creative workshop celebrating World Heritage Day on 18th April 2026. The session focused on South Indian Puppet Making and was conducted by Mrs. Pradnya Mohite, who guided students through the traditional art form with great enthusiasm and expertise.

The workshop provided students with a hands-on experience in understanding the cultural significance and craftsmanship behind traditional South Indian puppetry. It encouraged them to explore heritage art forms, appreciate cultural diversity, and express their creativity through intricate design and storytelling techniques.

The session was both informative and engaging, allowing students to connect with India’s rich artistic traditions while enhancing their practical skills and creative thinking.

This initiative was conducted under the visionary guidance of our Dean, Prof. Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, and supported by our HODs, Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am and Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am, whose continuous encouragement inspires students to explore and preserve cultural heritage through design.
