Event Title: HOW : Hands On Workshop 2026
Event Date: 25th to 30th April, 2026
Event Detail:
The School of Design successfully concluded its mega Hands-on Workshop (HOW 2026) series, a week-long intensive celebration of creativity, skill-building, and professional refinement held from April 25th to April 30th, 2026. This landmark initiative bridged the gap between academic theory and industry-standard execution, transforming the campus into a powerhouse of innovation.
The journey began with a prestigious opening ceremony graced by Vice Chancellor Dr. Pavan Bhaladare and Dean Academics Dr. D. D. Shinde. Their presence set a dynamic tone for the week, emphasizing the “learning by doing” philosophy. The series launched with 11 specialized workshops running simultaneously, ranging from traditional artisanal crafts to cutting-edge digital techniques.
Throughout the week, students moved from conceptual exploration to technical mastery. Under the mentorship of industry experts and master artisans, the focus remained on:
● Expert Mentorship: Students received 1-on-1 critiques and applied advanced finishing techniques to elevate their prototypes to professional standards.
● Global Engagement: The school was honored to host a distinguished delegation from Bhutan, who interacted with students and witnessed the creative process firsthand.
● Material Excellence: Participants focused on precision across various disciplines, including high-end design prototypes and beauty cosmetology styling.
The event culminated on April 30th in a spectacular showcase of student excellence.
