Celebrating World Design Day : “Rethink, Redesign, and React.”

The School of Design celebrated World Design Day on 27th April 2026 with a powerful skit titled “Rethink, Redesign, and React.” Conducted under the expert guidance of Mrs. Pradnya Mohite, the performance took a deep dive into the environmental impact of Fast Fashion versus the necessity of Sustainable Fashion. Through a compelling narrative, our students showcased the urgent need to move away from disposable trends and move toward eco-friendly innovation and upcycling.

The event was further elevated as our respected Dean, Prof. Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, graced the occasion and shared her profound thoughts on the future of sustainable design. Her inspiring words emphasized that true design excellence lies in the balance between aesthetic beauty and environmental responsibility, urging students to be the change-makers of the industry. Supported by our HODs, Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am and Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am, this celebration reinforced our commitment to designing for a better, more conscious tomorrow.
