Event Detail:

The School of Design, in a vibrant celebration of World Earth Day on 22nd April 2026, took to the streets to spread a vital message through the power of performance. Our talented students organized and performed an energetic Nukkad Natak (Street Play) centered on the pressing theme: “Say No to Plastic.”

Breaking away from traditional seminars, the students chose the raw and engaging medium of street theatre to highlight the environmental hazards of single-use plastic. The performance was a masterful blend of satire and awareness, delivering a very important lesson in a brilliantly comical way. Through witty dialogues, rhythmic chants, and relatable characters—ranging from “The Eternal Plastic Bag” to “The Confused Consumer”—the play held the audience spellbound while subtly exposing the irony of our modern lifestyle

The laughter from the crowd was a testament to the students’ ability to tackle a grave global issue with humor and heart, making the message of conservation accessible to everyone.

This impactful initiative was conducted under the visionary guidance of our Dean, Prof. Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, and received immense support from our HODs, Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am and Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am. Their constant push for “Design with a Purpose” continues to inspire our students to use their art for the betterment of the planet.
