Event Detail:
The School of Design, in collaboration with Young Indians (Yi) Nashik Chapter, successfully celebrated World Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Day by organizing an insightful guest session on 24th April 2026. The session, titled “Understanding Utility Patents for Design Students,” was curated to help our young creators protect their original ideas and innovations.
We were honored to host Adv. Surbhi Toshniwal, Associate at Toshniwal and Associates and Co-founder of RiverAI. With her extensive expertise in Intellectual Property Law, Adv. Toshniwal provided a comprehensive roadmap for students to navigate the legalities of design protection.
The session was highly interactive, empowering students to view their projects not just as art, but as valuable intellectual assets. It emphasized the importance of “Protecting Your Ideas” in an increasingly competitive global market.
This academic initiative was held under the visionary leadership of our Dean, Prof. Dr. Vibha Kapoor Ma’am, and was strongly supported by our HODs, Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am and Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am, whose commitment to professional excellence continues to provide our students with a competitive edge.
