Day 1

On 27th November 2023 was inaugurated by the Honourable Vice Chancellor Sir, bringing forth a wave of creative energy during the symbolic lamp lighting ceremony.
Artisans captivated the audience with live demonstrations, skill fully blending tradition and innovation. Expert talks underscored the imperative to preserve traditional crafts, stimulating insightful discussions.
Interactive workshops facilitated direct engagement with artisans, imparting participants with fundamental craft techniques. The day concluded with reinforcing the profound cultural significance of craftsmanship.
In a noteworthy moment, The Respected Dean ma’am of the School of Design shared valuable insights and acknowledged the Senior Assistant Director of the Ministry of Textile and Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan Nashik , highlighting their pivotal role. Additionally, The senior Assistant Director of the Ministry of Textile shed light on government schemes related to the program, emphasizing the collaborative effort to promote traditional crafts.

Day 2

On 28th November 2023 at School Of Design Day 2 of Craft Demonstration cum Awareness Program (CDAP) commenced with the documentation of artisans from different sectors of handicrafts, including Kolhapuri chappal, Paithani, Himroo saree, and tanpura making.Four competitions on pottery, patchwork, embroidery, and painting were announced.
Students enthusiastically participated in various handicraft workshops, such as bamboo crafts, tana bana, usta art, applique art, and pottery. Honorable guest Mrs. Vijiya Sinha madam ,Wife of Honorable Vice Chancellor sir of Sandip University visited the event, adding to the significance of the program. Artisans skillfully presented a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, unveiling captivating live demonstrations that left attendees mesmerized. Expert discussions underscored the paramount importance of preserving traditional crafts, creating a platform for insightful conversations. The pottery competition concluded, showcasing the talent and skill of the participants.
As Day 2 concluded successfully, anticipation builds for the upcoming days, promising an even deeper appreciation for craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

Day 3

On 29th November 2023 at School Of Design Day 3 of Craft Demonstration cum Awareness Program (CDAP) commenced with the students enthusiastically engaged in the different workshop with exploring as much as they can as it was the last day of the workshop.The third day of the programme went more valuable as our Respected OSD sir visited the Craft Demonstration cum Awareness Programme and interacted with the artisan.
As submissions day for the announced competition was on the third day of the programme, Our honorable jury for the judgment Dr. Jyoti, Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan , Skill India , Gov. Of India , Nashik ,Mrs. Shubhangi Associated with Pidilite , India Group , Nashik ,Dr. Taruna HOD , Fashion and Lifestyle , HOD Cosmetic Science, SOD. It was a difficult decision for the jury for the selection of the awardees.
Firstly the Master artisans got facilitated for their tremendous efforts put forth in the workshop. Along with this the much awaited student’s prize distribution started. The three days CDAP lead to its closing ceremony with our Respected Dean Ma’am’s vote of thanks to all the honorable guests and artisans for being part of this show stealing workshop. During the closing ceremony the audience got to be part of many valuable speeches from the honorable guests like Respected Registrar Sir, Respected Jyoti ma’am, Respected Senior Assistant Director from Ministry of Textile, Kolhapur.The programme was a valuable edition for the students. This programme wouldn’t be possible without the guidance of Respected OSD Prof. Vivek Nikam sir, Respected Dean ma’am, Respected HODs of the School of Design.
