Event Detail:

The School of Design organised an event on 9th July 2025, celebrating “World Fashion Day” titled Raw, Real & Rooted. This event was made possible with the support and guidance of our Respected OSD Prof. Vivek Nikam sir, under the visionary leadership of our respected dean Prof. (Dr.) Vibha Kapoor Ma’am and our dedicated Design HoD Dr. Taruna Rajpurohit Ma’am, and Beauty Cosmetology HoD Dr. Rajashree Saoji Ma’am.

This event was conducted by Ms. Akruti Awinashe, Assistant Professor, SOD. As part of the celebration, students were encouraged to style themselves by drawing inspiration from retro and traditional designs, reimagining them in a contemporary context. They also crafted unique accessories using scrap materials, thoughtfully curated to complement their outfits and highlight sustainable creativity.

The event culminated in a vibrant fashion show, where students confidently showcased their creations. This celebration was more than just a display of fashion, it was a tribute to individual expression, creative innovation, and the belief that style is a powerful form of self-identity.
