Guest Lecture on Mathematics of Physiology to explore the Synergy of Science

The Department of Engineering Sciences at Sandip University’s School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) successfully hosted an enlightening guest lecture titled “Mathematics of Physiology” on March 10, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Shatrunjay Kote from M.S.M.’s College of Physical Education. The event was graced by Associate Dean Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Burade and Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) Mahendra Shinde, alongside Dr. Paresh Rege, Director of Physical Education. Dr. Sharayu Sonawane coordinated a unique cross-disciplinary guest lecture. The lecture received a tremendous response from both faculty members and a large number of enthusiastic students who were eager to explore the hidden calculations within the human body.

During the highly interactive session, sir introduced the fascinating world of biological mathematics, explaining how our physiological processes rely on precise numerical balances. He discussed the mathematical calculations of the human body, ranging from heart rates to the mechanics of movement, and highlighted the significant long-term benefits of regular exercise on physical health. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Dhanashree Ganore, expressing gratitude to the speakers.
