The Cosmetic Science program is a three-semester-year, laboratory-based program that combines elements of art, science, and business used in the development of cosmetic and personal care products. Here you will learn the basics of cosmetic science as a sole Bachelor of Science. The Cosmetic Science Program in India focuses on product formulation and cosmetic manufacturing with hands-on experience in cosmetic manufacturing. After completing the second year and third year of study, the student receives a one-month industry-specific work semester.
The program focuses on key topics such as formulation chemistry concepts, techniques for transforming raw materials into finished products, quality assessment, scale-up techniques, and regulatory considerations. It is conducted by a team of subject matter experts and the course is designed to teach subjects such as chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology that provide a scientific background. A comprehensive course in compounding and process engineering is also presented.
