About Design Engineering

M.Tech. in Design Engineering is a dynamic postgraduate program offered at Sandip University. This is a multidisciplinary research-oriented program that helps students conduct independent study to better understand the fundamentals of design engineering. Through the course of this program, students are trained to understand the use of the latest technology and CAD tools for enhanced design engineering.

Sandip University’s Masters in Design Engineering program is extremely advanced as it focuses on the mechanical features and modern dynamics of the applications of design engineering. Besides preparing students to address the technical and scientific aspects of design engineering, the program also focuses on the managerial aspects of project management to enhance each student’s career scope.

The program trains students through an industry-relevant curriculum, value addition and global certification programs, industry visits, compulsory internships, project work, assignments, seminars, electives, etc under the guidance of faculty members with qualifications and work experience from top IITs and NITs. It prepares students for further scholastic aspirations in research while also making them industry-ready for a global career.

Design Engineer

Design engineers are expected to create 2D and 3D designs of prototypes while also analysing their shortcomings and risks while working within a stipulated budget.


Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical design engineers create new designs and test prototypes of various machines, tools, and robotic sensors, while also improving existing designs to improve its efficiency.


Structural Design Engineer

Structural design engineers must analyse the durability of the proposed designs, conduct pressure tests, and consider environmental factors to ensure that a design will stand the test of time.


Electronic Hardware Design Engineer
