Fashion Design is the art and science of designing clothes, with the intention of making a garment functional & fashionable, which are in line with current fashion trends. The designer creates a garment using a variety of sewing techniques, fabric types, and color palettes. The designer then interprets the garment's design through a series of steps and tests it on a small scale to make sure that it is in line with their design theory. The final product is then brought to a larger scale to test it on a larger group of people.
Fashion Design is an established industry that is synonymous with glamour and fame. In reality, the stream requires a great deal of hard work and persistence. The path to becoming a fashion designer involves years of study and practice. Most fashion designers have a background in either fashion design or textile and design.
