About Research Centre
Centre For Criminal Justice System
For the purpose of disseminating the knowledge of law and to encourage the interest for research in the students towards the growth and advancement of legal education, the Centre aims at bringing together various stakeholders like policy makers, lawyers, judges, academicians, etc. to discuss about Criminal Justice System and challenges accompanied to it by providing a common platform via seminars, conferences etc. The objective of this research centre is to promote the culture of research in criminal administration and victim justice delivery system, provide training sessions for various stakeholders, analyse policies and programmes for juvenile and victim justice, their rehabilitation etc. It is headed under the guidance of: Dr. Bhavana Kadu assisted by Ms. Anuja Nehe and Ms. Ganesh Gadekar
Centre For Intellectual Property Rights
With the objective of fostering innovation and development of research culture in the students for the development in the IP regime, the Centre focuses on providing a dialogue in the students and various other stakeholders towards interdisciplinary study of IP, innovation and competition and to impart awareness towards the importance of intellectual property. The objective of this Centre is to provide a niche area of research and development in IP matters and to encourage deliberations through conferences, seminars, workshops etc. on contemporary IP issues. It is headed under the guidance of: Ms. Shubhi Trivedi and Ms. Disha Rao.
Centre For Women’s Justice System
This Centre envisions at providing a society free of any violence against women of all age group in all spheres of life and therefore aims at laying down the foundation of a platform that shall hold deliberations and discussions on issues pivotal to women justice delivery system and uphold the State and other agencies’ responsibility towards security women and their rights. The objective of this Centre is to bring together and connect various women groups, feminist lawyers and academicians, social workers etc. advocating against any violence towards women and girls. It is headed under the guidance of: Ms. Teena Sunderbanshi and Mrs. Bonny Ghosh
Centre For Clinical Legal Aid
This Centre aims at imparting legal awareness and offers legal aid to various members of the society through consultations and discussions on the issues brought forth. The Centre also focuses on providing a quality of life to people belonging to socially and economically backward classes by helping them to get their rights reinstated under various welfaristic legislations. The objective of the Centre is to hold various awareness programmes in order to educate masses about their rights and duties and help them approach the justice delivery system for the enforcement of the same. It is headed under the guidance of: Dr. Bhavana Kadu and all other faculties.
